Chef Michael’s Salsa Burger
1 lb lean ground beef
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup minced bell peppers
1/4 cup diced tomatoes, drained
1/4 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped
Combine the chopped vegetables, bread crumbs and seasonings.
Form into 4-5 patties.
Preheat a grill or broiler.
Add the burgers and cook for 4-5 minutes, flip and continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the internal temperature of the hamburger reaches 155° F.
Serve wrapped in a tortilla with salsa, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomatoes.
